The light heavyweight matchup between Hill and Khalil Rountree won't be the headliner of UFC Kansas City on April 26 anymore, and while the fight is still scheduled to happen, it'll be moved to a later date, Damon Martin of MMAFighting.com reports.

The new headliner for the UFC event in Kansas City will be the matchup between Carlos Prates and Ian Garry. The bout between Hill and Rountree will still occur, and an announcement on the new date and venue is expected to be provided in the near future. Hill has lost his past two fights.

Hill has faced the best of the best for some time now, though he was most recently finished by Jiri Prochazka in January, making this a surprisingly short turnaround. Prior to that, he was finished in the first round by Alex Pereira, who also happens to be Rountree's most recent opponent (though Rountree made it to Round 4). Hill has significant height and reach advantages here, in addition to nearly double the average striking volume of his opponent. He's also better defensively as well, though the gap is much smaller. With neither man showing any sign of wrestling in their UFC careers to date, look for this one to be a fan-friendly, stand-up affair.

Set to turn 34 years of age this coming May, back-to-back defeats have put Hill miles from truly re-entering the championship conversation, even in a thin 205-pound division.
